1. What This Policy Covers

This Cookie Policy explains how NeoBot ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar local-storage technologies on the NeoBot web dashboard at www.neobot.one. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy. The NeoBot Discord bot itself does not use cookies — cookies only apply to the website.

2. What Are Cookies & Local Storage?

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Local storage is a similar browser mechanism for keeping small pieces of data on your device. Both let a site remember things between page loads. Under EU law (the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR), storing anything that is not strictly necessary for a service you asked for requires consent. Everything NeoBot itself stores is strictly necessary or a preference you set, so no opt-in is required for our own cookies; the one third-party widget below handles its own consent.

3. Cookies We Use

This cookie is essential — the dashboard cannot authenticate you or save your settings without it, so it is exempt from consent and cannot be turned off.

Preferences — stored in local storage on your device

We remember a few interface choices in your browser's local storage so the dashboard looks the way you left it. These never leave your device, are first-party only, and contain no tracking identifiers. Examples:

• Server-card view and other layout toggles
• Sidebar collapsed/expanded state and section preferences
• Notification and text-mode preferences (e.g. AI text mode, level-up notifications)
• Our cookie notice acknowledgement (so we don't show the notice again — key neobot_cookie_notice_v1)

Third-party — manages its own consent

Buy Me a Coffee (buymeacoffee.com)	Third-party widget & cookies	Shows an optional "Support me" donation button on the dashboard. Buy Me a Coffee loads its own script and may set third-party cookies governed by their own privacy/cookie policy, and presents its own cookie consent. We do not receive your donation or payment details from the widget.

4. Third-Party Content on Other Pages

Some pages load resources from third-party CDNs to render features (for example React and ReactFlow for the flow builder, and Microsoft's Fluent Emoji CDN for emoji images). These are used to deliver functionality you request and are not used to track you. No advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies (such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar) are used anywhere on NeoBot.

5. Managing Your Choices

• Cookie notice — on your first visit to the dashboard a short notice explains our strictly-necessary cookies; dismiss it with Got it. To see it again, clear your site data for neobot.one, or run neobotCookieNotice.reset() in your browser console and reload.
• Support widget — the Buy Me a Coffee widget presents its own cookie consent, which you can accept or decline independently of ours.
• Browser controls — you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly-necessary session cookie will prevent you from staying signed in to the dashboard.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if we add or remove technologies. The "Last updated" date above will change accordingly. If we ever introduce our own non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent before setting them.
